Gregory Mann, representante da NASA na Europa junto da Embaixada dos Estados Unidos em Paris, irá proferir uma palestra intitulada "The Artemis Generation: NASA's next giant leap"onde abordará os desenvolvimentos atuais e as perspetivas futuras da exploração espacial tripulada, com especial ênfase no "Programa Artemis" e na estratégia em desenvolvimento que visa o regresso sustentável da humanidade à Lua e a sua posterior missão a Marte.

Orador experiente e altamente envolvente, Gregory Mann, dirige-se regularmente a públicos académicos e generalistas, oferecendo uma visão aprofundada e acessível das missões da NASA. A sua intervenção vai proporcionar uma reflexão estimulante sobre os desafios e oportunidades da exploração espacial contemporânea, promovendo o interesse científico e o debate informado na comunidade.

  

Mr. Gregory A. Mann

Mr. Greg Mann currently serves as the NASA Europe Representative, based out of Paris, France, overseeing the implementation of NASA policies and programs with the European government, industry and academia. He serves as the lead U.S. Government authority on space-related matters, providing reporting, counseling and advice to the U.S. Ambassador to France, other U.S. diplomatic officials in Europe, and visiting U.S. Government officials.

Mr. Mann previously supported NASA’s Office of International and Interagency Relations as the desk officer for human exploration coordination with Asia and as lead for the Space Communications and Navigation Program. He is a former Executive Director for NASA’s International Space Station Advisory Committee, and previously supported the Heliophysics Division and served as international desk officer for the Republic of Korea and Southeast Asia. 
 
Before coming to OIIR, Mr. Mann served as the E-Government Program Manager for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer. He began his career with NASA in 2004 as a Presidential Management Fellow.
 
Prior to NASA, Mr. Mann worked as an information specialist at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Before his public service career, he supervised the media production department of an educational software training company and served as production manager for a national journal. Mr. Mann has a Master’s degree from the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs and an undergraduate degree in Humanities from New College of Florida. He is a recipient of the NASA Exceptional Service Medal.
